With the Jerry Sandusky case front and center in our news as of late I came across an article on how he was on suicide watch. He was receiving evaluations to address this horrible issue. My question is......Who cares? Why does it matter? and last but not least....why spend money trying to prevent someone from doing what they wish to do at a cost to our country?
I believe that everyone owns their own body...therefore if they want to harm it in any way it is their right. If he wants to kill himself how is it any of my business? How is keeping him alive actually a benefit to society? We are a country that is going broke and we want to go further into debt by forcing citizens to do something against their will, mainly to live? This makes no sense to me.
I say in our prison system hand them a rope or razor and walk away.....let them off themselves...save us and the country some money.....do something productive with their bodies instead of destructive. It is their right to do what they want with their bodies.
