A government that actively discriminates against its citizens is practicing oppression and tyranny. There can be no argument on this...it is a fact. If a government said blacks all should work for the whites...or give 45% of their income to the whites....it would be seen as a discriminatory act and an oppressive and unjust state.
So then why do we accept it the way it is now? It is no different. The government takes up to 45% of our incomes to give to corporations and individuals of its choosing. The reasons of course is that it is for the good of the whole. But couldn't that same argument be made for making blacks work for the rest of the country as well?
Just so we are all clear here......this is the definition of discrimination.
dis·crim·i·na·tion[ di skrìmmÉ™ náysh'n ]
- treating people differently through prejudice: unfair treatment of one person or group, USUALLY because of prejudice about race, ethnicity, age, religion, or gender
- ability to notice and value quality: the ability to appreciate good quality or taste
- awareness of subtle differentiation: the ability to notice subtle differences
so although you may agree with the government discrimination policies now...it simply does not make it right. Discrimination in any form is unacceptable. We cannot allow the government to actively discriminate against its citizens. It should not choose which rich people should have the money of the poor and middle class. It should not take food off the table of the middle class to give to the poor who may or may not deserve it. That is discrimination.
Discrimination is wrong...and so are we for supporting discrimination.
