I have seen a few articles over the last few weeks on how you should vote for Obama if you want food stamps or welfare. Or that if you are against these things then you are against humanity. What hogwash and here is why.
Having the ability to vote someone to take care of you is corruption and slavery. Democrats buy votes by saying that if you vote for me I will take from others to give to you. I thought it was illegal to buy votes? How is it right to force your neighbor to give you money under threats of violence? What would happen if you went to your neighbor with a gun in your hand demanding money from him so you could go buy twinkies and some instant oatmeal? Then if he said "no" you imprisoned him in your home for not being a part of your society. I don't think it would go over so well.
People however think that if they get enough like minded individuals that they can use government to do that very thing. I find something inherently wrong with a society that believes it can vote away the rights of others. What if society decided to vote that blacks should give more of their money to society because they should pay for their higher crime rate?? Or what if society decided to vote that whites should pay more because they commit more crimes? They cost society more as a whole...so all should be put under the umbrella of tyranny and slavery? So then with this mentality we can pass judgements on others based on class and this argument is different?
This simply makes no sense. Just because you are jealous or do not like a certain class or race of people does not mean that you should vote away their rights. That government should punish them more because they "owe" it to you. Its archaic and wrong. Humans throughout history have always found ways to justify their hatred of others. They justify why aggression should be used to control those they see as lesser to them. This is exactly what is wrong with both of our major parties. They both believe in aggression...and so does the public.
Non aggression is the answer. Respecting others is the answer. You are the answer. If you see problems, resist the urge to force others to pay for what you believe in. That is slavery and we embrace slavery in this country and it needs to end. Let us embrace freedom in this country. The freedom to make good decisions and bad ones. Lets bring some humanity into our lives and look to ourselves for answers.....you do have the power...and you can make a difference without the threat and use of slavery.
The best way to change the mind of someone is through good example and having them want to emulate you. Pointing a gun at someone and using slavery will not find peace or sway individuals to your "cause." I feel this article will fall on deaf ears....as it has for thousands of years. And because of that we humans will fall and continue to enslave each other and torture and kill each other. We refuse to respect others and their beliefs...we refuse to reject jealousy and envy. we embrace aggression and all that comes with it.
The problems and solutions are within yourself.
