I have been on Newsvine for three years now.   It has been quite the trip.   I have made some great Vine friends and a couple of enemies in the process.  It is with great sadness that I have come to announce that my time is limited on here.  We are looking at 2 to 6 months.  The reason for this has to do with a new goal in my life and focus.   It has nothing to do with the moderation or the switch over to Beta....even though I have resisted that change because I do not want to limit myself to just 15 groups.

I have seen many viners leave over the last three years.  Unfortunately it was due to bans vs voluntary good byes.   Of course there are those who leave where it is not known why......ie McSpockey.   I have been fortunate to have made it this far since my earlier days on here were a bit tumultuous at times.   For some reason I wanted to spar with the moderators, lol.  Who me?  causing a stir?  So with that, I figured I would take the question out of my leaving by letting everyone know.

I have spent a lot of time here.  I am #16 all time in posts made for instance....and I will miss being on here, but there is a greater calling.   So like some Rock groups of the past, I am starting up a "Farewell Tour."  With this tour I will do my regular Rock group libertarian rants....but I also have some ideas on some shout outs to fellow viners.   Like rock groups of the past I will never be forever gone....not until those last breaths are made......so I will still stop in from time to time...but not like now.

So the formal announcement has been made....newsvine will be short one libertarian thorn here in the near future.  Standby for further developments.

For those who think this is over the top and too much....I say "What do you expect?  I am a libertarian!!!"
